Welcome to the Conestoga Generals' upcoming 2008 football season.

In preparation for the upcoming season that is just seven weeks away from starting, we wanted to provide a heads up on key dates and information to help make the start of the season easier.

KEY DATES:

Monday, August 4 - First night of practice (all teams except flag): 6 - 8 pm
Monday, August 11 - First night of practice for Flag teams: 6 - 8 pm

Where: Practices are held at Teagarden Park in Berwyn.
The Generals will be following the same procedure started in 2007 to collect required paperwork and to distribute equipment for the 2008 season.

PAPERWORK AND COLLECTION

Paperwork MUST be turned in prior to equipment pickup - No exceptions.
No equipment will be handed out to a player unless the required paperwork is received prior to August 3, 2008.
No player will be allowed to participate in practices unless the player has been medically cleared and all necessary forms and parental consent documents have been completed and approved by the Generals.

No paperwork = no equipment = no practice = no exceptions

Tuesday, July 08 (5:30-7:30 pm) @ Upper Main Line YMCA, 1416 Berwyn Paoli Rd, Berwyn PA. (football shed is located at the far left of complex from entrance, behind maintenance building).
Thursday, July 24 (5:30-7:30 pm) General's Night at Rita's Water Ice @ the Chesterbrook location - new t-shirts, shorts, and Generals merchandise available for purchase - look for further details on the Generals' website soon.

The following forms, required by both Pop Warner and Bux-Mont leagues, can be retrieved from the www.conestogagenerals.com website (under 'Forms' tab):

1. 2008 Pop Warner Medical Eligibility - this needs to be SIGNED by a physician and DATED after 1/1/08 confirming that the player is medically cleared to play. The player does not need a physical in 2008 to have this form signed.
   
   
2. 2008 Pop Warner Participant contract and Parental Consent form
   
   
3. Bux-Mont Emergency Treatment Authorization
   
   
4. THREE (3) copies of FINAL 2007-2008 report card (includes all pages, e.g. art/music/etc)
   
   
5. Current photo
   
   
6. New players only - copy of Birth certificate (must be government-issued, no hospital or church records are accepted)

Game Fields:

The Generals Tackle Football teams play their games at Wilson Farm Park.

The Generals Flag Football teams play their games at VF Middle School.

Congratulations to the 2006 Division 1, 100LB Football Team on their participation in the 2006 POP WARNER SUPER BOWL. The team finished ranked #3 in the nation at the 100LB Division 1 level. The Generals wish to thank the tremendous support received by individuals and the community for this team and their great 2006 season.

Great Job by the 130LB Division 2 Team, and the Jr. Midget Cheerleaders. The 130's captured the Division 2 130LB Bux Mont Championship, and the Jr. Midget Cheer squad placed 2nd in regional qualifiers.
