2007 Conestoga Generals Game Reports - Week 4

Tackle 90-2 vs Pottstown 2 - 21-0 The Generals continued their winning ways on the road dominating the Pottstown Patriots 90-2 team 21-0.  The Generals remained unbeaten and improved to 4-0 with this impressive victory.

The Big Red Machine struck on their first play from scrimmage with Sunshine Aitken taking it in for the score.  The right side of the line, led by Mad Dog MCGuckin and Nicholas Brickwall Kick, opened up a hole that Coach Honesty, honestly, could have scored from.

The Generals D, putting forth their best effort of the season, harassed the Patriots throughout the game.  Nails Kravitz, Bull Fogarty and Sackmeister Shank pushed around the O-line and were gang tackling all day.   The Patriots actually totaled negative yardage for the game thanks to the relentless Big Red D.

Taz Reiss and Shark Larkin completed the Generals scoring with a TD apiece.  Beast Offenkrantz had a very productive day carrying the ball and Doomsday Dougherty, evidently concealing from his coaches moves that would make Brian Westbrook jealous, looked amazing with the ball under his arm.

A great team effort, the Generals are back home next weekend in revenge game against the undefeated Horsham Hawk #2 team.

Flag Team 2 vs Pennridge 2 - 43-24 The Conestoga Flag Team #2 exerted a great effort and was able to beat Pennridge 2 by a score of 43 – 24.  Once again, it was a total team effort for the 3-1 Generals.

The offensive line of Buck Walsh, Domenic Sancherico, Ryan Maher, Remi Beltran and Michael Erickson did a great job of blocking.  They also had help from Billy Carlini on several series.  7 Generals carried the ball today and each of them did a great job.  Both Buck Walsh and Michael Erickson made excellent runs that fell just short of scores.  Eric Satell earned a game ball for his effort at quarterback and defensive end.  He took advantage of the great blocking by the Offensive Line and Running Backs in scoring two rushing and one passing touchdowns.  Mark Montague had a great game on offense scoring touchdowns running and receiving and Kyle Nicholson added a touchdown of his own.  Kyle blocked especially well today.

On Defense, Brian Christner, Buck Walsh and Domenic Sancherico were a force at Defensive Tackle.  Billy Carlini was an intimidating force as our safety.  Also playing well on Defense were Ryan “Superman” Maher, Kyle Nicholson, Michael Erickson and Eric Satell.  The Defensive player of the game was Mark Montague who was all over the field making big plays.
